Infos about Environmental Issues
FISHING
Commonly used fishing tackle such as lead sinkers and nylon line are harmful to the shoreline ecosystem. Lead sinkers are poison, and nylon fishing line can entangle turtles, dolphins, whales and other sea creatures. There are alternatives which are affordable and easy to access. Some lead alternatives may actually be cheaper, such as non galvanized bolt nuts. Biodegradable fishing lines disintegrate over time, reducing the impact on sea life.
PLASTIC
Throwing plastic on the ground is harming the lands and the seas. Plastic pollution has become one of the most pressing environmental issues, as rapidly increasing production of disposable plastic products overwhelms the world’s ability to deal with them.
INVASIVE SPECIES
Invasive species are damaging the native forest by overgrowing weaker local plants, and are destabilizing the coast
SOIL SEALING
Sealing the ground with concrete to built houses or roads is not only destroying nature in the short term but also harmful to it in the long term, for the water cycle is interrupted. It is much more eco-friendly to built on wheels.
